Plasma derivatives, a batch has been prohibited

The Italian Medicines Agency has communicated to all the parties in the pharmaceutical distribution chain of the prohibition of the use of a batch of a plasma-derived drug. It is, for the moment, an exclusively precautionary measure. The product would contain donations from a subject with suspected Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy. In the communication all the data of the product subject to the measure has been provided: name of the product, manufacturer, batch number, expiry date, marketing authorization number.
