Starting from February 23th 2015 a new web sheet regarding the medicinal product containing the active substance simeprevir has been made available on the web platform of drugs subject to additional monitoring for the therapeutic indication: treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) in adult patients in combination with other medicines. The product will be subject to medical prescription by the specialist (internist, infectious diseases specialist, gastroenterologist) to be renewed from time to time and sold after prescription by hospital or specialist. The dispensation reimbursed by the National Health System is allowed only on prescription by the reference centres appointed by
each single region.
