Medical devices, new online database for the FDA

The regulatory agency FDA has launched a new online database that includes all guidelines pertaining to medical device manufacturers with products registered for sale in the USA. The new database allows users to search the guidelines using parameters such as the type of product, release date, the object, or the final version compared to the draft. Although the guidelines merely reflect the interpretations of the legislature regarding the regulations in force, it is assumed that those who register a device must follow it and thus the launch of a centralized database like this is an important tool that saves time, anticipating aspects to be complied with to ensure the marketing of devices. A similar centralized database is also planned for product codes and for premarketing approvals.
